I continue to ask Lambda to give Philip a new chance. We have tried some new things to get him to change his behavior there.
- Philip has now stayed away a year. I think Lamba is good for Philip. Philip still loves going to Lambda.
- He has written 100 times he will take five and go to his car whenever he gets upset at Lambda.
- He has writtne 27 times he will not touch anybody's boobs, butt or croutch. The same for giving people tongue or biting them upon greeting.
- He still has a brain injury.
- He still has a hard time responding quickly to directions or suggestions.
- He still has one of the best hearts in the world.
- Some say Philip is God's business.
- I believe Philip's dues were already paid six months in advance when he was barred.
Love and tolerance is our code, says AA literature (Big Book page 84)
Can't we all see Lambda's Code as strong suggestions, not as threats for expulsion?
I will be happy to answer any questions by phone or email.
Philip will probably be happy to write other behavior change suggestions 27 times each also upon your request.
There may be some hope for every body.
Is Lambda really better off with Philip banned? I don't see how. I don't see any improvements there.
It saddens me that whereas AA brags of practicing near infinite patience with other alcoholics, a handful at Lambda have such limited patience with the victim of a gay bashing.
